The Perfect Man, according to Hoyle

OK. I'm a guy writing about what women would consider a perfect date. Here goes:

A perfect man would :

1. Tall, dark, and handsome.
2. Have money.
3. Be clean.
4. Be polite.
5. Be sensual.
6. Be empathetic, and mean it. Just not too empathetic.
7. Be rugged.
8. Not be gay. ( Not that there's anything wrong with that--just speaking heterosexual date here.)
9. Have a good supply of testosterone.
10. Be nice to your mother.

First, What is Zen?

He taught that in life, suffering or dissatisfaction is inevitable. Suffering has causes, those causes can be cut off, and there is a way of life that will allow someone to do this. These are called the Four Noble Truths, and the way of life is the Eightfold Path: Right Views, Right Intention, Right Speech, Right Attitude, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, and Right Concentration. Following the Eightfold Path, he taught, will lead to Nirvana, the "putting out of fires," and suffering will end."

OK. But what does this have to do with dating? Avoid suffering and dissatisfaction in the dating process, and dating Nirvana will be close at hand. Of course I exaggerate about Nirvana, yet the dating process should not be a painful experience. How? I don't know. What I do know is that we need to define the problem to find the solution.

Breaking the Dating Code

As a confused heterosexual male, I am at a loss to understand the science of dating. Does successful dating involve stages? Is first attraction caused by pheromones only? What role do sterotypes play? What's with this lust stage after all? How are incompatible people sttarcted to each other to begin with? Is an arranged marriage the best way to go and avoid all this dating nonsense?

This blog will seek to discover these things and inform you. But then again, maybe am I am all wet and I will be beaten away with sticks for a wrong conclusion?
